18 days ago, Jason, Abby and I welcomed Zachary Jacob into the world at 10:26 am. We are so blessed to have a healthy baby boy who weighed in at 6 lbs, 8 ozs and was 19 inches long. He looks very similar to his big sister Abby when she was a newborn, with big blue eyes, pouty lips and a little button nose.
Abby was very excited to meet her baby brother, especially when she realized she got lots of presents, treats and special attention. She has been great with him at home so far - wanting to help feed him and generally being well-behaved around him. We are aware that the honeymoon phase could change at any minute but we're enjoying the good behavior while it lasts until jealousy sets in.
We are all adjusting to life as a family of 4 so each day is a new adventure and challenge, but it's been a lot of fun and very rewarding to see this new little person grow and develop. I'll keep you posted on the Abby Adventures and now the Zach Adventures as I am able!
